The
Porsche®
914 and Porsche 914/6 rear view mirror is mounted directly to the windshield.
It has a simple ball-in-socket pivot design and a night setting toggle.
Normal problems experienced with the interior mirror include wear to the glass
backing, pivot loosening
resulting in annoying mirror vibration and adhesive failure resulting in the
mirror falling off. The pictures to the right compare the early and later style

1970-1972 Porsche 914 and Porsche 914/6 interior mirror is narrower
than the later style. Some might say too narrow.
The
1973-1976 Porsche 914 interior mirror is more functional from a
driver visibility standpoint due to the increased size.
