914/6 automobiles came with "914-6" insignia on the rear of the car
(European specification 914/6 models had a different rear emblem as described on
the "Euro Badges" page accessible via the button on the left).
Although
prevailing wisdom cites consistency of the "914-6" insigne in gold-anodized aluminum,
it appears that a small number of Porsche 914/6 cars were delivered with
silver-chrome aluminum rear badges. This is supported by both the existence of
such emblems and the lack of color notation in the parts catalog with respect to
the single part number, 914 559 114 10. This part is described merely as
"logo 914-6." The catalog specifies the color for the 914
four-cylinder car emblems as "gold-coloured" or "black"
under their respective part numbers (914
559 113 10 and 914 559 287 10).
