Porsche 914/6 Factory Tool Kit Towing Eye
Simple and Effective
All Porsche 914 and 914/6 vehicles arrived from
the factory with tool kits that included a tow
eye-hook. This item, specific to the Porsche 914 models, screws into
the rear bumper to enable track
towing and roll-back truck loading without damage to the valence or
suspension components. The Porsche 914 and 914/6 towing eyes are 50 mm
wide and
135 mm in length. They are finished in gold cadmium plating. As noted,
this particular item was never included in the Porsche 911 tool sets. A
towing eye was eventually added to the 911 kits beginning in 1974, but
that
tool is substantially different than what is provided with the Porsche
914 models.
