Factory Tool Kit P208 Alternator Pulley Wrenches

All Porsche 914/6 and 1966-1973 Porsche 911 tool kits included a
pulley holding wrench to be used in conjunction with the box wrench
when loosening the alternator nut to replace the belt. This tool is 262
mm in length with pins that protrude 15 mm. It has a satin-chrome
finish (silver cadmium plated) and is
marked "P208" on the back (side opposite of the prongs).
Reproductions of this tool are readily available and generally
identifiable by the pin length (generally much longer than 15 mm),
finish and (lack of) markings. After 1973, Porsche 911 tools kits
included a redesigned tool (with no prongs) to serve the same purpose.
